My Dream About Danny

Last week I had an amazing dream about this special brother-in-law of mine. This is Danny, Bill's oldest brother. When I first started working with people with disabilities I was a senior in high school. Cache Valley has such great programs for special needs individuals and I was very fortunate to be around their spirits at an early time in my life.

I first met Danny when I was 17 yrs old while volunteering at B.R.A.S.C. but grew to love him at the Special Needs Dances held 3-4 times a year in Logan.

When Danny arrived at the dances, I would walk up to Beth (his mother) and ask to take Danny out on the dance floor. He would clasp his hands together behind my neck and we would dance the night away. What I remember most was how hard it was to get him to let go of his grip. He would just rest his head on my shoulder and want to keep dancing and dancing and dancing.

Who would've known that 12 years later his brother Bill would ask me for my hand in marriage. Bill always teases that Danny loved me first :), but at least He is the one that caught me in the end.

Danny is largely responsible for Bill & I meeting. I have always known of the "Price Boys", but never met them. I had heard for so long what good looking boys they were and was somewhat intimidated by that. Five years ago Danny passed away and I had the privilege of attending his funeral. I took a down syndrome boy that knew Danny to the viewing and to the service and it was so amazing to see Danny in the casket. The muscles in his face were so relaxed and it looked as though He never had the physical disabilities he struggled with in this life. I remember seeing Bill at the funeral as well as his 2 brothers Tom and Scott. His other brother Chris was on his mission in Brazil and did not come home for the funeral.

To make a long story short, Bill & I met on a LDS Website 3 years ago this month. I had a picture posted of Me and the down syndrome boy I took to Danny's funeral. Bill noticed the picture and sent me a message. Within a matter of minutes I figured out He was Danny's brother and informed him of my experience with Danny. We were going to meet for lunch but I dogged him..... one year later his future sister-in-law Keri had become friends with my sister Jamie and together they encouraged us to meet. We met and the rest is history....

So about this dream... Bill and I were at his mother's home in River Heights. Beth walked into the kitchen with a smile and beautiful glow on her face. She turned to Bill and I and said "Look who has decided to come back for a day". Immediately Danny walked into the room and came straight to me. He was young, about 12 or 13 years old and He gently cupped my face into his hands. Next He slid his hands behind my neck and clasped them together. All He wanted to do was dance.

It was a very short, but simple and beautiful dream. I cannot seem to stop thinking about it and how much He really was a part of Bill and I meeting. I know I have changed the babies name quite a bit, but I feel very impressed to give Paisley the middle name of Danielle. My marriage, my happiness and my soon to be little girl, Paisley Danielle is a direct result of his life. I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Price Family. Beth and her Boys had an angel living with them for so many wonderful years. They lost their Father and Husband when Danny was 14 yrs. old. As Beth said, He was their Father after their Father passed away. I really can't wait to see Danny again and I also look forward to meeting their wonderful Father, Russ.

6 QUIRK TAG

RULES:
-Link the person who tagged you
-List 6 of your quirks
-Tag 6 other bloggers by linking them
-List the rules on your blog

I love this stuff. Jesse Cholico Crofts tagged me, she is a beautiful friend I had in high school. I found her on facebook a month or two ago and so here we are! Thanks Jesse for tagging me :)

Quirks?? I think I have a ton so this may take some time to sort through which ones I want to post!

1. I have an oral fixation. Seriously, if I'm not biting my nails I have to suck on something, chew on something or lick something. (I've always wondered which reasons Freud would give for this fixation). But I remember it started sometime in the 3rd grade with nail biting.....

2. I do weird things in my sleep. Most of my previous roomates can confirm this, but they have often found me sitting straight up in bed during the night, talking. They have actually carried on conversations with me and come morning I can't remember a single thing. My husband probably couldn't confirm this, once his head hits the pillow he is out for the night. I'm not sure if I still do it, but I know it has been a frequent occurence in the past.

3. I ruin brand new toothbrushes in less than 2 weeks. I brush my teeth so hard that the bristles on the brush are spread in such disaray, they usually bring blood. The Dentist tells me often I need to quit because my gums are receding, but I don't realize I'm doing it. My husband lately supervises my brushing and constantly demonstrates the proper way to brush.

4. I play the piano best while sitting on my feet. I love playing the piano and I play best when I am NOT sitting properly. I always have to sit on at least one foot in order to get into my groove. Most of my inspiration comes when I am relaxed and not really sitting lady like.

5. I have trouble saying the word "Ask". I tend to pronounce it "Assss-k". I've always had this problem. I don't know why, but whenever I have to use this word, I always think of a butt and so I just naturally tend to draw the word out longer than necessary.

6. I have to shave my belly button. I have this one long strand of curly hair that won't stop growing back. One time I tried to see how long I could grow it....... (that was before I was married).

Now I shall tag:

-Keri Price
-Janan Burr
-Julie Decoria
-Niki Godfrey
-Melissa Hernandez
-Chantel Bender

FATHER OF HELGA BELLE-8 WEEKS TO GO!

Can I just say EWWWW! GROSS!!!! YUCK!!!!! This Mustache Mouth hubby of mine will NOT back down and refuses to call our little one anything BUT Helga Belle. I think I felt her flipping him off the other day. When I went in for a ultra sound a couple of days ago, this was the image on the screen. I have a feeling she is ready to fight for a feminine name...........

I absolutely adore my husband, but this Helga Belle fascination is really starting to scare me!! Amazingly, I have only cried once over the name, but if it continues, I have informed him He will not be allowed in the delivery room. He claims that He will be cheering me on like he's at a Yankee's game, shouting out this horrid name as I push........ "Come on Helga, Come to Daddy".... I hope she comes to him with a swift kick in his face! Then perhaps it may wipe the mustache off his face!!!!

So now to update a little. We have our place in Colorado and I absolutely LOVE IT! Bill is training in Wyoming until Mid October. I have been in Wyoming with him for several days and we will be here until the end of the week. We are in a very small town called Pinedale, which is about 1 1/2 hrs south of Jackson Hole. It's gorgeous here and it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Bill is working in the oil/natural gas industry as a field engineer and he loves his job and his co-workers. He's staying in a beautiful cabin with his boss and several other guys. We are both feeling so blessed for this career opportunity. We were in church this morning and we were both feeling so overwhelmed with gratitude for the blessings in our lives. We have been given so much and soon, so soon we will be able to be sealed in the Temple. I can't wait to experience this with our little one and family and friends. I love my life so much. I have a love for Bill that I didn't know could exist! The more she grows inside me, the more I marvel at God and his plan for us. Our little miracle is increasing my faith in God and I love her so very much for that!

Six 1/2 Months Pregnant

This was so fun. Bill and I decided to get some professional pics done..... My good friend Benson tooks these at Liberty Park last week right before a thunder storm. He did such a good job! We went to the doctor this week and she said that our little girl is going to have the longest little legs! I can't believe she'll be here so soon! I am going to make us bankrupt by buying all the cute little girl cothes they have out there!!! I'm really enjoying pregnancy these past several weeks. Though I am hurting in the vagi area quite extensively, those little movements are so amazing!!! I'm in the "feel good" months... I really hope this continues through the end of the pregnancy. My doctor freaked out because apparently I have gained 7 lbs in 3 weeks... I don't know how, I have been eating so healthy lately....... I'm curious when did you guys put most of your weight on? In the begininng, towards the end or was it throughout the whole 9 months??

Jamie's Journal Entry May 16, 2006

Left: After Nose Job

Right: Before Nose Job

I FOUND THIS ENTRY FROM JAMIE'S JOURNAL IN A BUNCH OF MY STUFF WHILE I WAS PACKING FOR GRAND JUNCTION. I WOULD LIKE TO PAY TRIBUTE TO HER AS WELL...... SHE DID SUCH A GOOD JOB FOR ME. JAMIE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR ORANGE PEELS AND RHINOPLASTY'S.... YOU GO GIRL. IT'S A BLESSING YOU CAN BREATHE SO WELL NOW.... AS FAR AS THAT FINGER GOES... YOU CAN KEEP ON PICKING REGARDLESS OF THE LENGTH AND SIZE OF THE NOSE..... HERE'S TO YOUR JOURNAL ENTRY:

Today I got a nose job. I ate lots of orange peels to try and prevent a lot of bruisng and it really helped. I think I'll eat them for weeks before my honeymoon night as well. I can breathe so much better. But, the most important thing about the nose job is that this guy who I have a secret crush on will be able to look past my moles. He will also be able to see my teeth when I smile. I CAN’T WAIT for him to notice my new look.

Coming out of the anesthesia was really fun, I told Ginger she looked like a hooker. I love my sister, she is the best thing that ever happened to me. I honestly don’t know what I’d do with out her. I hope I can be like her one day.

I will write more later once I start to feel better. Ginger is serving me soup and yogurt and I'd like to visit with her for a bit. She is my inspiration and light and not only do I want to be like her, but I want to really look like her as well.
