Paisley 1st Christmas

FAMILY. FRIENDS. JOY. LAUGHTER. LOVE.

All this mixed with thoughts of Christ add up to be:

PURE HAPPINESS

I couldn't have asked for a more special Christmas. I will be satisfied if I never get another present again.

No gift can match that of being married to Bill and giving birth to Paisley.

This year will be one I will never forget. A wonderful thing came wrapped in a small box, hid under the tree.....

Can anyone guess what it is???

THE SYMBOL OF MOUNTAINS- "JOURNEY"

Where our journey began.
An eternal ascent to the top we will stand.

Side by side we will breathe in the view, thanking God he has led me to you.

And though we will give it our all, through the hike we will stumble and fall.

But, with you by my side I'll achieve, all of my dreams for you simply believe.

The mistakes we will leave behind, looking forward with a meaningless mind.
A future of possibilities and love, you and I will climb to the view up above.

These mountains are a symbol of you, they have led to the words of "I do".
This day I have married my friend, we will TOGETHER, FOREVER, ASCEND.

These words are part of a song that I wrote for Bill. I played and sang this song "Journey" for him on our wedding day.

We love the Mountains, especially Bill. Our first date was in Mill Creek Canyon. We tried to spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors as we dated. Two years ago this time Bill took me to Ouray, Colorado to go Ice Climbing. He says this is where he fell in love with me.

I wanted to do everything I could to impress him, even if that meant I had to do something that caused me great fear. I have a terrible phobia of heights. Ice Climbing took me to heights that I never thought I would dare go.

By day I would climb, by night I would cry.

There was this one particular climb we did that I could've sworn I was going to die. It was so steep, so vertical and SO HIGH! It was a climb where he belayed me from the top and I had to repel down and then climb up. He dropped me down. I was so far down we couldn't hear each other yelling. I climbed half way up and got the "Elvis Leg". My legs started to tremble and shake uncontrollably. I broke down in tears and pleaded with the Lord to let me make it through this.

I almost couldn't go on and thought for sure a Search and Rescue helicopter would have to save me. Next thing I knew I was back on top.

No. No one saved me. I just climbed. I didn't look up and I didn't look down. I just climbed.

I cried like a baby that night. Little did I know how much this climb impressed Bill. He says this is the climb that made him fall in love with me.

Since then I have climbed again. I will continue to climb, for him. It is exhilarating to challenge yourself and succeed, especially if it's something you have feared.

I love the Mountains. So many wonderful memories and yet many more to be created in Heavenly Father's beautiful world.

HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY BABE

DECEMBER 8, 2008

What a year to remember.

As I look back on the past year I am overwhelmed with how great I have been blessed.

Simply stated: I HAVE THE BEST MARRIAGE.

Many of you know the challenge and trial I went through just months before meeting Bill.

Living a nightmare and now living a dream only leaves me speechless. Bill's mission statement for our marriage is to "Make ALL my dreams come true"... Well, he's doing a pretty good job of it. He is such a good husband and now an amazing father. Here are some significant things we've created together in the past year.

#1. Greater Testimonies of the Gospel- I almost gave up on mine.
#2. Paisley- What a joy and love that I didn't know existed.
#3. We have never had an argument in the 2 years we've been together- We "get" each other.
#4. We are still IN love- Because we choose it.
#5. Okay, I have to say it. Seriously. We make great love. It hasn't gotten old or boring. Maybe less frequent, but only because of a baby, not because of desire. The 30 year old virgin no longer exists... the wait was so worth it!
#6. Much Laughter- Bill and I laugh. A lot. One of our motto's is " Will this matter in 30 years". If there is a disagreement about something, this is what we apply. It helps so much. Because of this and because of Bill's very easy going personality, WE LAUGH CONSTANTLY!
#7 Bill's awesome new job- A beautiful and very dear friend of mine paved the way for an amazing career for Bill. With this came a move to another state. By moving to a place where we really didn't know anyone, it has created a closeness and dependency on each other that could not have been found otherwise.
#8-Inheritance of new families- We love the families we have both inherited. We enjoy spending time with both sets of in laws and never have to argue about spending more time with one family over the other.
#9-We serve each other- Still, after two years, we do things for each other. When we ask each other to do something, we do it. Neither of us complain.
#10-An amazing future ahead- Bill and I live in the moment. I truly believe the main reason we have such a great marriage is because we don't let the past or future dictate what we do today. For so many years I did this and so did he. We let our mistakes dictate how we felt and chose to see ourselves. We have put the past where it should be... IN THE PAST!

Our marriage is filled with LAUGHTER, LOVE AND PEACE. Who could ask for anything more?

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY BABE. THE RIDE HAS BEEN WONDERFUL AND I LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER YEAR OF YOUR LOVE. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME THE HAPPIEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD.

Thanskgiving and More...

I have sooo missed my computer and the ability to blog. We have been in Utah since Thanksgiving traveling between Cornish, Logan and Ogden.

We have come home for a short week and will be out on the road again, possibly adding Wyoming into the travel plans....

I am done living outside of a suitcase, but would rather be with my hubby on the road.

We have had a wonderful time with our family and friends. Bill has been showing off Paisley to EVERYONE!

I feel so good. Paisley is the DREAM BABY! She is practically sleeping through the night already. I only have to get up once to feed her.....

I hear this is a rarity at one month old. She has yet to cry and be inconsolable. She snuggles up on your chest (her favorite spot) and curls inward and just is so darn lovable and cuddly...

I really do love being a Mommy. I told Bill the other night that if it weren't for all the weight gain and feeling fat for the next 9 + Months, I'd already be ready for another.

I love this multiplying and replenishing the earth thing. IN... EVERY.... WAY!!! (Well I guess except the weight thing)........

Who knows, maybe we will get another one sooner than we think. I'm in my prime and we didn't heed the Doctor's advice about waiting six weeks...... :)
